For those that have read several of the books in Foundation by Isaac Asimov, what are your thoughts on psychohistory? Speaking strictly with the human race only having one inhabited planet, is it practical? Or even maybe possible?

So, I'm the kind of college student who is incredibly enthused about the topics he enjoys (sub-atomic particles, quantum phenomena, astronomy, cosmology and higher dimensions) but finds zero interest, zero motivation, and will hardly even pay attention to lectures on topics I find no use of.

Thusly in my most recent pastoral 1 to 1 conversation my teacher told me that, in a lot of cases if you look more into a topic you find things interesting about it. (Which I personally find akin to Stockholm Syndrome).

My challenge to you then /sci/ is to tell me anything and anything remotely interesting about kinematics, Newton's laws of motion, projectile motion, tensile strength, young's modulus or any such similar subject.

Time is a space like dimension, on top of which the 5th and 6th dimensions are placed. We only experience time as, time, being in higher dimensions experience it as a direction that they can travel from to change state from one moment to another. We see time as individual cross sections of the 4th dimension, we are forced to move forward in time. 5th dimensional being can move in time any way they want, and can even change events at will.

It's like how a 2 dimension being would experience the third dimension, as individual cross sections of three dimensional space.

Wrong... if you have a bag of sweeties and no-one to give them to the sweeties will last forever, thusly anything divided by zero is infinite. Only dividing by 1 gives the same starting number.

Let's hear some /sci/-themed pick up lines, pillow talk, etc.

"Baby, when I'm done with you, your hypothalamus will be regulating your body temperature at 98.dick degrees; now come hither" *slyly smiles, cocks eyebrow and licks lips*

Is it possible for a "bag of holding" to exist in real life, or a bag that contains more space than it occupies? IE by curving space into something like a bubble sitting on a sheet and such?
