Many people forget that some of the greatest physicists of recent times were very much into philosophy. Eastern Mysticism might have some ideas that fit our modern understanding of Physics more than what we know from our own cultural circles and I think it's strongly connected to the history of philosophy and different paths it took in that part of the world. Of course some people will go overboard and assume people are claiming the East has all the answers and start babbling about quantum consciousness, but there's a lot of interesting stuff to be learned and thought about. Nothing wrong about being open minded if you're able to remain critical.

Hey /sci/. could you recommend any "essential" books on physics that would be suitable for an A-level student?
My main topics of interest are quantum mechanics, cosmology and relativity.
