What would happen if you were now using 100% of your muscles?

You'd be locked in some kind of rictus.

The brain isn't an undifferentiated memory or processing array. It's made of many sub-units at varying scales which have excitatory and inhibitory functions on other sub-units. And all these units are specialized for specific functions. When you're performing one task you don't want other unrelated parts of your brain that would interfere to be firing off.

When people say
> I wish I could use 100% of my brain
they really mean
> I wish i could use 100% of my brain _for cognition_

But you can't. No more than you can use your glutes to increase your bite strength.
