See anon's correction in >>15864652 , there's a 0 dimensional space, p + 1 one-dimensional spaces and 1 bidimensional space. That's 1 + (p + 1) + 1 = 6 for p = 3.
>>15864712
p + 1 is the number of one-dimensional subspaces.
For p = 2, those are {0, (1, 0)}, {0, (0, 1)} and {0, (1, 1)}. Then the zero-dimensional and two-dimensional subspaces for 5, as you've pointed out.

I left anon like half the work and my presentation was kind of a mess but I feel like I introduced the methods he's supposed to use well enough.

You take, on average, starting immediately after pulling a 5*, 69.11 rolls to get a success.
For seven of them, that's 483.801 rolls.
Unless I misunderstood, and when you pull a non-boosted 5* the next roll (and not the next successful pull) gives you the level 5*. That computation is shittier and harder, but I estimated it at ~375 rolls.

IIRC That's the approximation, not the full equation.

I remember when I was around ten that my parents mentioned some Russian who recluded himself for years and solved this huge mathematical problem.
I was ten, so I was thinking of this huge equation, a polynomial of fiftieth degree and five variables, and this wise old autistic Russian who suddenly noticed that this one specific number was a root through means and techniques beyond mortal comprehension.

What did you think real math and science were like when you were little?
