If you've never seen an F1 engine in person, please anons make pilgrimage. It's not the most advanced engine ever, but the sheer size and brutal nature of it impressed me in a way few things have. An object so simple in purpose, made to do one thing only, and performing its mission admirably.

>industrialization only counts if HUMAN HANDS manually do it
Humans cannot even touch your precious computer chips without donning several layers of protection to not ruin the entire thing with a stray breath.

Elon Musk, Neil Armstrong, Wernher von Braun, Yuri Gagarin.
Von Braun is non-negotiable. Elon I could see arguing against so that we don't have to wait however long until he dies. Armstrong and Gagarin are definitely debatable though.

Please go back to your dumpster. Also a fun fact just for you: human sized horses would only have an average penis length of just over three inches.

For me I never realized how enormous the VAB is; I guess I just never stopped to consider that it would have to be big enough to fit an upright Saturn V with room to spare since it didn't get stacked like Starship will.

Yeah.
Just thinking about how pic related is only a little over half a von Braun wider than Starship is pretty crazy.

Why wouldn't you just use a L1 or L2 space station? Now all the staging material has to retroburn to land on the moon then take off again, that's a dumb design constraint.

Apart from cost efficiency, has rocket science really improved since the time this picture was taken?
