It's been 6 months since the Fukushima Daiichi disaster happened.

So far, there are zero deaths from radiation, zero cases of radiation sickness and zero cases of cancer. By contrast, dozens were killed due to radioactivity within weeks of the Chernobyl disaster.

I'd hate to sound like a spoilsport, but nuclear energy produced in modern reactors seems safe for human life, even in cases where one of the biggest earthquakes in recorded history and a huge tsunami hit the power plant.
