so i was wondering if there is a specific name to this weird thing numbers do when you break them down a specific way... It's really cool and i was just wondering if there is a specific name for this, because i couldn't find out anything on google
To demonstrate, lets start by saying a-z is numbered 1-26, respectively.
take a word, lets say EARTH and then assign the respective number to it. so
E = 9
A = 1
R = 18
T = 20
H = 8
Then you add all those numbers up and get 52. then you reduce the number to a single digit by adding the 2 numbers, 5 and 2 to get 7.
Now leave that be and take the numbers for each letter individually and break them down the same way. So anything that is a 2 digit number break it down and add the 2 numbers until it is a 1 digit number. This makes the new values
E = 5 (No change)
A = 1 (No change)
R = 9 (1+8 = 9)
T = 2 (2+0=2)
H = 8 (No change)
Now add these together and you get 25 (the fact that the digits are reversed is a coincidence. you can do this with any word and the digits aren't always reversed). now again add the 2 digits 2 and 5 to get 7. This is pretty neat to me and i was just wondering if there was a name for this so I could explore it a bit further.
Also, I know using the word is superfluous, but it's a nice little reference for just picking out random numbers as a starting point.

Interesting/ mind-blowing facts.

I'll start, not mind-blowing, but interesting:
Ever wonder why it the unit of time 'minute' is spelled like the word for something that is really small; 'minute'? The reason is, minute it a minute length of time (compared to an hour). And the word 'second' as in 60 seconds in a minute? That's because a second is the second order of minuteness as compared to the hour.
