Uranus is a gas giant known almost entirely for its usefulness in puns and how angry certain groups get about said puns. I have a solution that should please everybody, enhance science communication, and get children more interested in space.

Drop the ur. Name it Anus.

Hear me out: by getting it out of the way and just accepting we have a butt planet, we solve many of the problems associated with it's name. First, children will embrace Anus as the most entertaining of planets, and wish to learn more about the Anus. Second, Congress, which is essentially just angry children in suits, may finally actually probe Anus. Thirdly, as the previous sentence implies, removing the "ur" actually REDUCES the number of problematic puns. Sending a probe to Anus is simply less funny than probing Uranus. We would no longer be beset by problems such as "scientists discover a dark spot on Uranus", rather, scientists would discover a dark spot on a more general Anus that is the common heritage of mankind.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I think we should just rename Uranus to Ouranos. It was the original spelling of the name and it sounds a trillion times better then "Your Anus".

Better than renaming it "Urectum"

Although in reality Uranus has a quite blueish color, the Voyager 2 images (which only approximate natural color, using Orange, Green, and ultraviolet filters) showed it with a distinctive greenish hue. So I don't find it very egregious to represent Uranus with a "green" as a shorthand to distinguish it from the much more deeply blue Neptune.
