Root level of that folder has about 7800-8200 items depending on how often I clean up and put blah-162351324243.jpg etc. into the blah folder.
Sure some of those are duplicates and symlinks and shieet, but I've been acquiring them since a few years before discovering 4chang in 2008 or so. Unfortunately the first few years I kept trying to rename everything until I realized to use folders, and to put the folder name in front of the filename.
Viet-4cong filenames basically never clash, no need to have a folder full of coolthing84 coolthing85 etc., just put something in front so they'll sort.
