can we cut the shit and stop pretending these aren't portals?

I'm a shut-in NEET but have always had an autistic obsession with black holes. I want to study and learn every single scrap of knowledge we have about black holes and then hopefully expand on it some day.

My question is this: Will research surrounding something like a black hole (something that is so far away to be beyond reach) ever actually pay off in a way that will be benificial to humanity?

If you are past the event horizon, and while you fall to the center of mass you look outside (time passes incredibly slowly compared to outside of the event horizon) can you see billions of years of the universe history pasing in seconds?

Why is anyone pretending they know shit about the information coming in and out of black holes and whats inside them.
