>haha look at these losers they haven't embraced the infinite void of meaningless
Why embrace a false truth? The void of meaning isn't the big bad scary truth. The big bad scary truth is the uncertainty of truth itself due to our limited perception of reality. What you may think are facts and laws of the natural world could just be an information bubble that pops at any given moment. Nihilism is the refuge for those that cannot operate in the abyss of uncertainty. In reality, who knows what lies in its true nature?
But to take the poor argument from another side: words in and of themselves have meaning, it's how you hold a conversation. It's actually ironic that the phrase "There is no meaning" conveys meaning. The fact that people even care about things having meaning is proof that meaning exists.
Perhaps what people mean is that they themselves have not found meaning in this world. While the latter is sad, one shouldn't use superlatives and generalization to drown the rest of humanity in their lament.
