Yes because they block 100% of the reflected light and about 60% of scattered light - you can see through the surface of water with them, you don't get reflections off the road or the hood of your car.

The best would be a light brown variable tent (brown can slightly improve contrast) polarized - and make sure they fit good, fit is always important.
