First and foremost if you're not an autist you can pivot into the majority of general management/technology consulting roles with any of the paths. Keep that in mind going forward.

>Stochastics
Possible route into trading, maybe banking. Coding skills required for this.
Unlikely to make big bucks without further Phd.

>Financial engineering
Definite route into many facets of banking, from model building to machine learning. Most bulge brackets have great leadership development programs.
Big bucks inbound.

>Computational science
Useful for getting into tech project management; roles are more sparse however. Implied coding ability gives leeway for wider range of options.
Possible big bucks if you're good at selling yourself and finding opportunity.

>Optimization
Similar to computational science, roles are sparse but having a large skillset opens many doors.
Possible big bucks.

>Analysis
I assume this refers to more mathematical analysis not statistical analysis. In which case this is probably the least useful for transitioning into industry. A Phd is almost definitely required to specialize.
Will make the least bucks relative to the other paths.

Again it's important to remember you can probably land a decent consulting role regardless of your path. If nothing is set in stone I would consider a MS in statistics as well. Or even a master's in analytics.

Yeah I agree with you actually.

It's funny how common you see or hear about someone sweating over having to make a good sat/act/gre and it's just like man I can't believe a stupid test is going to dictate the course of your life instead of the collection of fuck ups like for me. I'm sure many autists here have experienced this feeling.

Null hypothesis: the observed leading digit of vote counts should be the theoretical Benford distribution
Alternative hypo: the observed data are significantly different than what Benford suggests they should be

The test conducted is a simple chisquare between the Benford theoretical values and the observed values.

The p-value says there is X% chance we could get a value this extreme by random chance. In school you would usually call a p-value significant when it is less than 5% or 1% depending on the context. Anything less than 0.00001 is roughly 0.

This guy who ran the chisquare test got a p-value less than 10^-26, which is essentially 0. We can conclude that Biden's observed values are significantly different than what they should be.

Notice that Trump's are also significant but not even close to the magnitude of Biden's. Basically this is a good sign that further investigation is necessary.

lol the crux of reddit is it's the most edgy reactionary you can get without breaking political lines, even in the fucking mathematics subreddit. It's a lot like any NBC show, just edgy enough for most Americans to identify with as funny and out there but really was always designed to be the most palatable material possible.

First evaluate parenthesis
>2 + 2 = 4
Then evaluate multiplicatives (division is really just multiplication)
>8 / 2 = 8 * (1/2) = 4
>4 * 4 = 16

Hey bro, I used to have terrible panic attacks every day for years. I used to think having a panic attack meant freaking out about something, but it's completely physical.
Don't feel bad that you have issues. I don't know your situation but I do know that it helps to admit you have a problem and it's not just all in your head. Either way you should do something about it because nothing will change otherwise!
