But the point was to understand whether there are differences in cognition; pattern recognition, language acquisition, etc. I'd be willing to bet there are, because if the miniscule variations in human populations can make certain population's livers capable of handling amounts of B12 or alcohol that would be deadly to others, it's not a stretch to surmise that selective pressures may have also acted on the big organ in our head. Maybe IQ is not the best measure of this, but directly measuring these abilities without assuming IQ is an accurate proxy would be interesting.
