The diameter of the external fuel tanks on the space shuttle is 27.6 feet though.
That "bolt" is a 2.5 inches in diameter, and made out of Inconel 718.

page 7.
undoubtedly stronger than the highest grade available on this site.
https://eicac.co.uk/Bolt-Ulimate-Strength-Calculator
but you can get a rough idea for how strong it is.
The highest grade they allow shows it coming in at around 3.1 million foot pounds.
https://www.nasa.gov/centers/marshall/about/star/et_11.html
Of course, the tanks are actually solid rockets that lift the shuttle as well, so in reality the bolt most likely only had to support the weight of the orbital itself
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Shuttle_orbiter
~250k lbs
so not only is this completely mundane, but you're a hyper-dotard for even comparing F1 to the god damn space shuttle.

>hurr durr space is like soooo big dude
You fucking idiots, that's not an explanation. Sure space is big, but the odds that we would not have found ANY SINGLE SHRED of evidence of any kind of life using highly advanced equipment nonstop for decades is absurdly small. It's so small that in fact, it's actually very eerie, there are no signals, no structures, no waste, just silence. It doesn't make logical sense and if you think its just because space is "really big" means you haven't done any research on this topic and have no idea what you're talking about.
