I propose that lizards be the most prevalent form of animal life on Mars.

If we actually can engineer animals, freshwater fish should be largely bioluminescent, macroalgae too.

I also want to bring the African Grey parrot closer to its evolutionary origin. Parrots are closely related to falcons, perhaps they can be made into a highly intelligent bird of prey that's capable of communicating with its master. Falconry on a planet with low gravity would rawk.

Hey, I mentioned that climate would be an issue.

Goddamnit.

Well, if technology's that good, it looks like I'll have to get myself an attack komodo dragon and loose it on the furries.

I just hang out in my very warm, very humid, soaked with UVB bathroom. He loves hanging out in there and I'm thinking of getting a wall planter to put some hanging orchids, nepenthes, and bromeliads in it to complete the jungle effect.

Pic related, it's "him"

I've found that winter isn't so bad if you have a small spot of reasonable temperature and "sunlight" to which you can retreat. I kinda like being warm under my covers while the chilled air works its way through the window into my bedroom. It's good for keeping the air fresh and the place generally livable.

Just look at those eyes. I can't help but feel that there's something afoot behind those eyes.

Entertain me with why /sci/entists are superior to all other humans on the planet.

I'll start.
>VFR Pilot's license, single engine
>SCUBA certification with advanced open water and nitrox
>BS Biochemistry undergrad
>Current law school, start 2nd year in ~1 week (patent law, we actually have job prospects because we're part scientist)
>Small business owner
>Fluent and idiomatic German
>Reasonable French
>Functional Arabic
>Regularly vacations to swim with sharks
>2 D. azureus frogs, bred em', love em'
>1 V.acanthurus acanthurus

I am the true lizard king, can fly, swim with sharks, and have easily proven my intellectual superiority.

/sci/ can do better. We are the truly the most complete, competent, and interesting humans on 4chan.

I think that was the backstory of that Star Trek: Voyager episode.

Anyway, ridiculous assumptions about evolution aside, some are highly intelligent. The Cretaceous lizards evolved into very clever little animals. Mine seems to understand that the rheostat somehow controls "the sun" in his tank, he responds to his name (and not other words/calls), and he's clever enough to associate colors with prey items. He knows that the black target means he's getting bugs, but the red/white striped target means pinkie mice as he gets FAR more excited about the red target and seems to run towards his favorite rock to scrape the mouse to break its neck. He doesn't do this for the black.

That's not exactly city-building and poetry-writing intelligence but it's impressive to me.

>pic is of my clever "dinosaur"
