What this means is that people are going to get taller and taller, passing on god knows how many genetic diseases. Here's a scenario:
Males continue to get taller and taller. As this happens, our hearts progressively become too weak to support such a large circulatory system. This is something that would normally lead to an early death with no genes getting passed on. Good ol' natural selection.
The problem is that this won't happen. Someone will just invent a drug that makes the heart stronger and everyone gets to pass on their genes. Time passes, and men grow even taller until the point where no drug can keep them alive. They all die during childhood, and so does the human race.
Height is just one trait. Imagine how many more there are that could easily fuck us over in the future.

Today the teacher teaching the 'Static Mechanics' course told us to use 10 for g and that she always does so aswell (previous job she designed big steel constructions so she was an actual engineer). The meme is fucking real, kill me already guys, I hate it when you are right.

Hey guys, I'm a senior (18, of course) and I've been having some serious health problems for the past year so I'm currently very behind in Chemistry and desperately need help with this question:

"Before you are two clear, colorless solutions of ionic compounds. one is a solution of sodium chloride, the other is of a nitrate compound with an unknown cation. Using a spot plate and pipette, combine the chemicals and observe the resultant reaction. If the resultant precipitate dissolves in hot water, what must the unknown cation be?"

I don't even necessarily want an answer, just anything that can help direct me in the right path will be appreciated.

Apologies for the novel, but this is a life crisis

Just turned 24. With the exception of an AA in engineering science, I am a full fledged NEET. Bounced around various fields of interest for years at the local college--from theoretical physics to env sci, then philosophy, sociology, insert several other memes here, and more recently bio/neuroscience. They occupy brief phases of my life then something else draws my interest.

Admittedly, I'm one of those big picture fags by nature. I glean the low hanging fruit and use that to shape my worldview. As much as I consider myself a nerd/empiricist/etc, I have no more than a cursory understanding of these subjects. I envy the people (most of you) who are able to master one or two disciplines. Namely INTJs if you subscribe to that sort of thing. I'm an INTP, but I also express many symptoms of ADHD. One woman has wrote a book on the topic and refers to such people as "Scanners", but it's not who I want to be. Also, I think I may have consumed too much sugar as a child as well, because my ability to delay gratification is a severe hindrance.

My IQ was tested at 131 by a psychiatrist I had been seeing for depression during adolescence. I often feel very smart and very dumb, depending on who I'm around. But between an eternally scattered brain, and general neuroticism, I have accomplished absolutely nothing with my life thus far and it's beginning to eat at me. My blood pressure is prehypertensive because of the related anxiety.

What are some good psychology/neuroscience books on the influence of your unconscious mind on behavior, perception and their triggers?

An example is that waitresses that lightly touch customers receive 30% higher tips than those that don't.

I hate how ugly non Chads like myself are seen as disposable, laughable shit by society. I am demoralised by things wherever I look. Attractive girls everywhere with 5000 tinder matches, outgoing and posh people who get high paying jobs practically handed to them after being judged by their clones, advertising and pseudointellectuals everywhere telling you what to do while threatening you with abuse.

At this point I feel no separation between work and outside work. Everything fucking becomes work. The gym ("Have a perfect programme, diet, sleep!"), reading ("Read these 100 old and boring books and claim to like them!"), or anything. I always feel like I have to do 100 things at once or else I'm a failure in terms of some hierarchy.

I see charlatans, scammers/snake oil salesmen, pseudo intellectuals, and intellectual frauds almost everywhere. Most people in society simply ride along inside institutions while being judged in qualitative terms by their normie clones.

If I'm brutally honest with myself, I don't yet have the balls to live according to my own intellect and taste, which I trust. I am going to wake up tomorrow and finish reading a book I find boring (and can articulate why) because it is old and praised. I will drink coffee in the morning mainly because I will feel like a non-"go-getter" without it. I will painstakingly go through maybe 10 pages of multiple books each that I had been meaning to read, I will do my lifting routiné, play a few games of chess, even though I view erudition as a pseudointellectual attribute in this modern era. I will not live according to my tastes.
