Correction, second line is
= 3y(y - 3 - y^2 - 3y) - (2y - 8 - y^2 + 4y)
should be
= 3y(y - 3 - y^2 + 3y) - (2y - 8 - y^2 + 4y)
I wrote that on my page, but typed it wrong here. whoops.
Still doesn't solve the problem
