I am the ergo nut, not OP. I am considering moving to 420chan since "druggo" chemistry discussion is frowned upon. I believe Cl effects either the structure of ergotamine/LSA (my guess is it could alter the structure of the aromatic ring/amine on the tryptamine portion or effect the amine/amide at the top of the molecule) or "deactivates" the psychoactive properties. LSA is an alkaloid derived from a symbiotic fungus that grows on the leaves of the host plant. This fungus is seed transmitted. It would make sense that since Cl destroys bacteria in water, this sensitive alkaloid is subject to the same.

Psilocybin? Decomposes from oxidation? The phosphate group that replaces the H from the -OH group of Psilocin (4-HO-DMT) is what makes it Psilocybin. I'm guessing your trying to preserve the phosphate group as a liquid extract. That or increase the shelf life of a Psilocin/Psilocybin extract. Firstly, the phosphate group is naturally broken down to Psilocin (-OH) in the body, acidic conditions, or oxidation. Secondly, the psychoactive properties should withstand light oxidation at the Psilocin molecule. That's why I use Mtn Dew Ice to make liquid shroom extracts with AN OPENING in the container used for this. If for example you sealed the container with carbonation and let it sit awhile it will decompose rapidly, losing the psychoactive potency. Since Mtn Dew Ice contains 1% real lemon juice and citric acid, it will break down the Psilocybin to Psilocin quickly. Carbonation helps speed this up too, but again don't completely cover/seal it so the CO2 can escape. Break up the shroom matter well, no need to completely powderize but that reduces extraction time, pour Mtn Dew Ice at room temp, wait 6-12 hours (not longer than 48) at room temp, filter. The soda is clear and ordinarily doesn't glow under blacklight so it's perfect for checking the indole fluorescence under blacklight to make sure it's working. Continued...

Amanita mushrooms are super dangerous. Yes they contain ibotenic acid and muscimol which are both psychoactive but you can poison yourself extremely easily especially if you are picking random ones in the wild.

Now psilocybe cubensis is a great way to help depression if dosed correctly (most people who take too much the first time are usually traumatized from the experience, namely demon figures in dark room atmosphere kinda shit). When I refer to magic mushrooms, I mean the cubensis and closely related species like the azurescens (most potent). Magic shrooms are great for invoking change of mood, slight to moderate visuals, enhanced color saturation with trails, and laughing at a fucking wall. I wouldn't suggest eating dried caps. Even though you can it tends to create more and more stomach nausea as dosage increases, which can drastically effect a trip depending on a variety of factors and is generally unpleasant and can expose your body to nasty shit. You can lemon tek the shrooms (real lemon juice freshly squeezed, try not to use concentrate) by putting dried caps in a container at room temp covered for 20 to 30 minutes. Some teks say to put in fridge and that works but temperature shock and possibility of moisture is bad in general for shrooms so I try to avoid it. THE BEST WAY to dose shrooms that I have VERIFIED is to put the desired amount of dried caps (don't grind, you can but it's unnecessary and you will have to filter if you grind it) in a 500ml container and cover with Mountain Dew Ice to your desired volumetric amount. Let sit for 6-8 hours room temp covered. You can see the blacklight reactivity from psilocin extract in the clear acidic lemon soda glow blue. Mountain Dew Ice contains at least 1% real concentrated lemon juice and is acidic enough to work. It takes longer but tastes waaaaay better than mushroom lemon juice. The best part is it's clear so your can see reactivity under blacklight.
