Let me start off by saying I swear I'm not trolling. I just had a thought:

What if .999... actually doesn't equal 1 and the difference is a new number like i was a new number before complex numbers? Give it a name and introduce rules and we'll have a new field of numbers including the reals. Am I buttfuck retarded? Is this all an infinitesimal is?
