When I take math notes I always use the most obscure greek letters and convoluted notation such as writing down commutative diagrams for trivial stuff like change of basis, all so that if someone sees my notes they'll think it's high level esoteric math

Math major here, just curious since you guys are always talking about engineering.

What kind of math do engineers go up to, and what do they focus on? In all of my classes with engineering students, they all seem to ask the stupidest fucking questions and focus on stupid shit and ignore all the cool stuff. What kind of maths do they use primarily in their field?

im a canadian planning on becoming an astronaut, any tips?
