Here's a more interesting question, how come this:
https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%28x%5E2%2By%5E2-1%29+%3D+%28x%5E2%29%5E%281%2F3%29y
gives you (-1,0) as a valid solution, but this:
https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%28x%5E2%2By%5E2-1%29+%3D+x%5E%282%2F3%29y
says (-1,0) is not a valid solution? Surely x^(2/3) = (x^2)^(1/3).
