Vinyl vs CD

I had an argument with my friend he said digital forms of music(CD) will never reach the quality of an analog medium(Vinyl).

Earlier I had stated that CDs are much better than vinyls and he went apeshit.

He says analog music(pickup and vinyl) has almost infinite information while digital has a very limited source of information.
We ended the convo with me kinda admitting I was wrong. It still doesnt feel right, I think CDs have better quality.


Am I being stubborn or is my friend wrong?

Why the fuck is "logic" a "branch" of philosophy or logic is treated like some kind of tool?

You cannot have reasoning without logic, logic IS reasoning, logic is the base of everything, the thinking itself.

When you're 'philosophizing', reasoning, whatever, you are doing it so logically.
