Hey, not asking for answers here, just how to answer if that is possible.

"Using Excel, answer the following questions;

1. For loads between 200 N and 800 N, the graph of load (y) against extension (x) is approximately linear. Find the gradient and intercept of this portion of the graph."

Hey, how about you two consolidate your idea into one clear post. I can't tell which side you two are arguing for.

/sci/ I need help.

I just got out of a test, and I want to figure out a problem I couldn't solve.

P: x+y=1

Q: x=-y

Determine the truth value of the following statements.

1) ∀x∈ℝ,∃y∈ℝ: P⇒Q

2) ∃x∈ℝ,∀y∈ℝ: P⇒Q

3) ∃x∈ℝ,∃y∈ℝ: P⇒Q

How is it done?

Could someone help me with this stupid question?

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%E2%88%AB%282%2F%281%2Bt^2%29%29%2C+t%3D0..1

I'm trying to figure out how this makes sense, but I can't seem to do it. I can see there's a tangent, but I just don't understand how it works.

I am interested in this aswell. Can anyone point me to a list of what order to the courses in?

AFAIK it goes geometry, algebra, trigonometry, calculus.

Anything I'm missing? Like what comes after calculus?

Last time I took math I was 13, which was 14 years ago, and I'd like to learn it again.

Anyone good at stats? I cant seem to figure any of this out...

1. A recent survey reported in USA Today Snapshots found that 77% of American travelers purchase plane tickets on the Web. Suppose the survey was based on 1000 respondents.

a) Construct a 95% confidence interval estimate for the population of American travelers who purchase plane tickets on the Web.

b) Would a 90% confidence interval be wider or narrower than the 95% confidence interval? Explain.

2. A restaurant owner claims that the average wait-time for a table is less than 8 minutes. To check her claim a reporter from a local newspaper records the wait-times for 15 restaurant customers selected at random. The wait times were

3.90 5.90 8.02 5.79 8.73 7.82 6.60 10.49
6.68 5.64 6.20 6.17 9.91 7.00 8.35

a) Assume that the population of wait-times is normally distributed and test the owners claim at the 0.95 level of confidence.

b) Why is it necessary to be told that the population of wait-times is normally distributed?
