I am sorry for being retarded but I don't see how you get ln|cosx| from sinxdx/cosx

or how is -ln|cosx|+C = ln|secx|+C

I've ran into a speed bump in my Biology lab assessment. We looked at the T. Vorax organism to see the cell's feeding mechanisms. Then, we had to design our own experiment and do it.

My group decided to see if the cell can distinguish between food particles and non-food particles. To save you the trouble of reading all the data, the average of the control(non-food) was 3.8. The average of the experiment(food) was 2.45. In the experiment, we had a couple more cells that had 0 food vacuoles than we did in the control, resulting in the lower average.

When I go to do the T Test in Excel (=TTest(Array1, Array2, 1 tail, 2 type) I get a P value of .006. This means that I should reject the null hypothesis that the cells would not have different consumption rates. I'm pretty sure that the cells wouldn't eat *less* if they were able to distinguish between food particles and non-food particles.

I just can't figure out if I should say that we had a couple of cells with no food vacuoles or if I should just go ahead and reject the null. What do?

Does the Law of conservation of mass apply to physical changes as well as chemical changes?

I have a prelab question asking if the lab demonstrates the law. All we're doing in lab is dissolving one component of a mixture at a time, filtering it, and then weighing it, after repeating this process 49894948 times, we'll figure out the percent recovery.

I'm about 99% sure that it applies to both physical and chemical changes, but every time I've seen the law it always says chemical and says nothing about physical, which is causing me to overthink it and doubt my answer.

Tl;dr- Once I hit submit, my answer is final. Does the Law of conservation of mass apply to both physical and chemical changes?

This seems retarded; we already have bandwidth shaping, queuing, etc. why is doing it while its in fiber optic cable better than sitting in a routers packet queue? Furthermore, every network communication protocol on the planet was specifically designed to tolerate arbitrary amounts of network loss or full disconnects.

Doing math is like trying to solve a puzzle, and puzzles are fun.

Also, when you learn about theorems, think about how long ago it was discovered and how some mathematicians could of ever come up with it. It's mind blowing.

Hai /sci/
This is my assignment. Its due tomorrow and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. Any help?

One method of obtaining the transfer function of an industrial control system involves applying a pseudorandom disturbance to the controlling signal and monitoring the measured system output variation. The resulting information can be applied to a correlation function to determine the transfer function. This disturbance is not large so does not have a significant influence on the system performance. The analysis of the information would be done offline based on accumulated data ( and is not part of this assignment).

Part1 (10 marks):
Create a technical specification for a stand alone embedded system to generate the disturbance and monitor both the systems control signal and the system output at defined intervals over a specified period of time. Discuss the implications/modifications for a standard industrial PID controller to make the use of this approach feasible.

1. Technical Specifications for Part 1
What will be the deliverables?
How would your prototype be tested to determine whether your design was a success or failure?
What are your technical specifications? Could they be used for design acceptance testing?

Pic related.
