So, I ordered "A brief history of time" and "A short history of almost everything" by THE MASTER and Bill Bryson today.

Was it a good decision? I just read that a briefer history of time is never and better. Is the old one fine too?

Picture related. Me.

Hey /sci/, this is a long one, but please hear me out. This isn't nessacarally a science/math question, but it's an intelecual's question, so I thought I'd post this here.

A right, now for why I'm here. You see, I'm somebody who's always been very skilled in mathematical, scientific, and logical thought. However, a good while back now, I got the bright idea, which I now regret, that I should turn my intelect twords more phylosophical questions. I spent months doing so, and got frustatingly more headaches than breakthroughs. It was only just resently that I finally admitted defeat, and disided to go back to old calculative self, and disturbingly, I found that I've apearently lost my touch. Sudoku puzzles that used to take me 5-7 mins are taking me 20-30 mins, and all those logic puzzles that I used to breeze through with grin are proving to be very perplexing.

Now I'm pretty sure that this aptrophy is mearly the result of not practicing my trade for to long as well as some residual confusion still left in my head from my phylosophical contemplations, and can be recovered with time and practice, but im not sure, and frankly, I'm scared. All I'm asking for is any insights and advice might help, thanks.
