6÷2(1+2)=9
somebody please explain to me why this is!
People say its because there isn't any multiplication, but there clearly is! 2 is being multiplied byt the quantity 1+2. You cant divide 6 by 2 because 2 is being multiplied, so you would have to do 2•1 + 2•2 first, right?
Where am I going wrong? Why is the answer not 6?

Help me /sci/. I'm stumped

Either

A) Big bang has always existed for all of eternity, meaning infinite time has passed in order us to reach this point. How can infinite time pass?

B) Big bang hasn't always existed and popped into existence one day and goodbye law of conservation of mass/energy. Also this implies that the nothingness that preceded it had a finite duration and how is that possible

Or

C) Our understanding of time is flawed

Is our understanding of time flawed?

There are 12 questions on an examination, and each student must answer 8 questions including at least 4 of the first 5 questions. How many different combinations of questions could a student choose to answer?

Please help a fella out. I know the stuff, but this type of question defeats me.

Pic related, it's like me.

Not this again...sadly, there are plenty of contributions to regular boring science made by engineers daily, enough to stand outside the shadow of so-called "scientists".

Before you go raging, just look at what engineers have done to make your life better. If you want to whine, let us take back your television, computer (and Internet), air conditioning, structures, and cars. Yeah, you like being a fucking caveman?

Have a nice day.
