You are just further proving my point in how shitty the standards of ethical treatment towards workers are. I realized I posted the wrong image of the Savar collapse in Bangladesh instead of the recent Ludhiana one. However it's the same concept of how companies look for offshore factories to produce their product. Do you know why this romper is three dollars? Because companies like Primark don't care how their clothes are manufactured. They don't mind trading in safety of their employees for a few extra dollars in their pockets. These companies are the ones that aren't enforcing building safety codes on their factories. It's simply because they don't want to spend more money. The same goes for the fact that Indian factory workers are still badly mistreated and underpayed.
