You won't get anywhere with this idea without doing at least some basic calculations.

You will need to calculate how much energy it will take to boil-desalinate enough sea water to fill Death Valley. I'll give you a rough estimate that you will need about twice the volume of Lake Tahoe to fill the valley, or approximately 72 cubic miles of fresh water.

You'll probably use up half of the world's uranium reserves before you top off.

My personal theory is that Venus, like Earth, suffered a giant impact with another protoplanet early in its life. But unlike Earth event, the colliding body (I'd call it "Lilith") struck against the direction of Venus' rotation, which is why its so bizarrely slow today. One or more moons may have formed but their orbits decayed until they spiraled into Venus.

Comparing the collision between Earth an Thea and the collision between Venus and Lilith would be a very interesting study.

It's allegedly in the star's habitable zone but we know jack shit about it aside from a rough estimate on its mass and that its very likely to be tidally locked.
