Athens, GA resident here. Dilemma:

>Morning classes end at 11AM.
>Place I planned on watching at is 1 hour away, near Elberton, GA,
>Next class after 11AM is at 3:30PM

So my understanding is that the Eclipse will occur around 2:35PM. There's no way I'd be able to see it and drive by in time for class. In fact, based on how crowded every where in the Totality Zone, I might not be able to leave at 11 (and arrive at 12) and find a decent place to view.

What would /sci/ do? Skip all classes tomorrow? Is the Eclipse worth it? It's very close to me and it seems like kind of a once in a lifetime chance.

My classes have two-three absences built in, so I wouldn't be docked a a grade or something, but I'm the type to save that shit for emergencies.

I don't know - help me decide.
