the same happens with every discovery, psychological, scientificial , religious, nihilistic, everyone for one reason or another thinks that the current Status Quo is unchangable. And then for no reason at all... someone invents rocket fuel, NMN, proof of god, gene therapy, Metphormin, complex AI and everyone freaks out, denies the changing world but slowly comes to accept it.

Imagine someone invented something that could make any human biologically immortal? First reactions from the populace would be jokes, then cynicysm and denial. It's just what it is. Best I can advice to you is to listen to your brain, soul, heart and whatever you chose but to not blindly follow other people you don't know.
