How much merit does that "humans need not apply" video actually have? Futurists are starting to seem more and more obnoxious these days

Because i've argued against it a fucking thousand times before, and no one will ever change their opinion.
If you want someone to refute this bollocks look at the replies in the reddit thread.

Got into Cornell's engineering college. Going to graduate with about sixty thousand dollars in loans. Worth it?

So say for some reason you were granted immortality and freedom from injury. Eventually the earth will cease to exist and you would end up floating through space forever. Because the universe is infinite (even thought the odds of a planet being able to have intelligent life are slim) wouldn't you eventually find another planet with intelligent life on it after floating through space after emerging from destroyed planet after destroyed planet? It would just take a long fucking time but in when talking about infinity time has no meaning and because you are immortal you will be alive forever until the universe collapses upon itself. And for that matter it would also mean that there are an infinite amount of options so even if you did survive when the universe ended (somehow) you would also find somebody who was granted mortality.

In effort to survive in an intelligent society, those who have a concious in which they believe they are divine and special according to a creator succeed under this environment because it creates social order and specialization in certain causes. As a result humans over the growth of intelligence have adapted a strong concious through natural selection. This concious is indeed an entity which allows society to function in terms of survival of the fittest. I will admitt though that it is dangerous to second guess our will to live (as seen in cases of suicide in which depression of intillectual realization tears apart the will to live). Nonetheless it does not negate this entity as true.
Disclaimer: Please do not question your concious. Id rather you live a life of clouded visions and sugar coated reality then have to deal with the depression of realizing your lack of purpose in the world. May peace and joy be with you all.

What field of science should I study If I want to find a way to extend my lifespan before I die?

On a separate note, what's a f.field of science that is brand new and full of gaps needing to be filled by scholars, going to make me discover wonderful things and will become really valuable in the following decades?
