its the right terms. you either believe in a god or not, and you either believe you are certain or you admit you could be wrong. 2 different spectrums. i dont believe in god, but i dont claim to be 100% right (very close to that, its astronomically unlikely that I can be possibly be wrong, but still a very very small chance)

we don't say that a god existing is impossible. we just don't believe in one because we see no evidence for its existence, and therefore no reason to believe in it.
If evidence arises, we will change our minds.

Atheism is the withholding of belief in a god. Nowhere does it imply belief that a god doesn't exist.

Also, agnosticism isn't really a belief-position. The correct term would be agnostic atheist. Pic related.

This. Emphasize the point of atheism in the broad sense, in that it's a LACK of belief and not and ACTIVE belief of 'no God does exist'.
And depending on your thesis it wouldn't hurt to briefly touch up on the differences of agnosticism from atheism.
