If the Degenerate Era of the universe is predicted to last 10^40 years, is there any conceivable way that humans can somehow survive to the Dark Era?
Like what heat sources or energy sources could they draw on, where would they live, etc.

A new disease breaks out: the Angry Chicken Disease (ACD). Scientists study the condition by looking at whether or not the person has a an elevated white cell count and whether or not they have the disease. It is found that 22% of the people tested have an elevated white cell count and have ACD. Given that a person has ACD, there is an 85% chance that he/she has an elevated white cell count.
What is the probability that someone has ACD?

How would I solve this? I feel like this information: 17% have an elevated white cell count and ACD and given that a person has ACD, there is an 85% chance they have an elevated white cell count contradicts its self.

Suppose you add one more equation into the one-solution system of two equations (three
total equations, now). Why is it unlikely that a solution will exist?
