Something doesn't add up here - I work with stainless steel everyday and it's typically dull with an almost matt finish

The cladding material shown in these pics is far too shiny to be stainless steel. It looks more akin to an aluminium foil laminate...

There is more going on here than meets the eye

When you think about it, isn't higher level mathematics just playing puzzle games and trying to prove to society that you're smart?

Hello friendos
i got caught up in a weird discussion with strangers on the internet.
Basically they are saying and not moving from
>Every single person, no matter how low his IQ, can solve every single problem given to him given enough time

They will not move from this statement, they dont even take it to ridiculous points like "ok give the 50IQ guy 30000 years and he can solve it"
We got there from a discussion that started with something like "everyone can learn everything, they just need to be interested/dedicated/try hard enough/more wishful thinking anime bullshit"

Thoughts?

I agree with the narcissism thing, and similarly I hate the way that our concepts of alien life always seem to resemble humans in most cases.

However there is a lot of sense in designing robots like humans or animals (like Boston Dynamics' Big dog for example)

Evolution has taken millions of years to perfect the mechanisms of our bodies, so mimicking these proven systems gives us a head start.

There's also the social aspect of wanting robots to be accepted by humans as non-threatening and "just like us"
