Got a chance to work as a part time ER assistant in a really shitty area with lots of drug abuse, domestic violence, mental illness and fistfights. Should I apply for it? It's a long commute and might actually mean less money than my current shitty part time job, but I'm interested in getting into trauma stuff once I graduate. I feel like the experience I would get there would be invaluable, and while I'm not completely buff or anything I have pretty thick skin when it comes to dealing with shitheads.
