The Planck's team's CMB results are strongly reminiscent of the results from the BICEP2 telescope at the South Pole, claiming to have discovered "primordial gravitational waves", a signal from the very early universe, which turned out to be very wrong. Not even those people could fake it to that degree. Or the claim they had taken a photo of a so-called black hole (by "interpreting" the 5 petabytes of data). Or the convenient eureka-moment of LIGO when after 15 years of zero results whatsoever, just as their funding was about to dry up completely, they suddenly began recording "gravitational waves" left and right from supposed collisions of black holes, white holes, neutron stars, and other deep space easter bunnies.
