retarded anon here, just finished College Algebra 1 with an A, do I progress next to Pre-Calculus or can I jump straight into Calc 1 without being too lost? Don't shit on me please I never applied myself in high school and am doing my best to relearn all the math I've forgotten or never learned.

but like it's my job. I'm not doing it out of good will, I'm getting payed for it and it keeps me from paying tuition. Idk maybe I'm weirded out by the whole thing because I personally never went to any TA office hours and rarely did for the instructors' ones.

>But I don't know what I should do, that's why I'm asking. I've not the slightest idea.
do some research. Look at your options. Look at whether uni or community college (I don't know what you call it in the UK) will benefit you more in the future. Look at what majors you like, you're good at, and will help you in the future. Use your brain to weigh the options, but your heart should be the one that makes the decision. I know I'm being lousy with language again. Call it whatever you want: heart, gut feeling, instinct. Thing is, life doesn't have a manual and sometimes you need to trust your instincts. Your brain should help you not making the stupid decisions, but there is no perfectly rational and set way to structure your life. That's why people make mistakes in the first place.
>I don't know the answer
I don't know either, buddy. But you're the closest to that answer, because you're the person who knows yourself the most.
>I see no profound truth, yet you proclaim you do yourself
there is none, and I do not. Your choices might be bad, they might be stupid. People make mistakes, it's normal. What's important is that they're YOUR choices.
>sounds like you're telling me what I should do with my life
meh, I didn't say anything concrete. This is advice. The type of advice I wish I had with my son if I had one. Just sharing life experience.
>but I want to make my mum happy.
I feel bad when she cries about how I am and she doesn't understand how to help me. I don't want her to cry anymore.
that's very good and kind of you. I'm sure you're a great son, anon. Just remember that you're not only a son, you have other roles in life.
>I love mi mummmy
I love my mom too, anon

serious mental illness is fucking scary. everyone is treating him like absolute shit and he doesn't even know why. you can already see how he has become more hostile towards everyone. it's absurd how people cry about postmens and teenage "depression" but entirely forget and shit on people who are actually seriously mentally ill

Unironically, what is the point of going to university and getting an undergrad degree in math or sciences without also getting a masters and phd?

You will not do anything remotely applicable to your field in the real world without a minimum of a masters. You might as well get a humanities degree and enjoy your 4 years of undergrad and maybe even have sex sometimes.
