There was no "logic" that implied anything of that sort. If someone was motivated enough to seek help, then it would be very difficult, but they could still plausibly get themselves to a doctor. Trying to "cure" depression on your own using only exercise and someone on the internet telling you to "stop being a pussy" is about as effective as trying to break 3M glass with your bear hands.
