how does an idort like muah. Get more math literate? What are the best ways to approach said task?

Can you prove that there isn't a pattern in the digits of Pi, or is it just assumed?

> Does pi contain all finite sequences of numbers?
> If so, does the binary representation of pi contain all pr0n that ever existed, or could exist?

If π contains an infinite, evenly distributed and non-repeating set of digits, then it is commonly accepted to contain every possible combination of digits; and by extension, every possible book ever written and never written, every movie, state secret, email, 4chan post and image within it, along with the holy bible, shakespeare, viruses, and the sickest porn you could ever imagine.

I was wondering how to write a search-engine that could traverse pi and return results; but then I realised it had already been written; and stored within pi itself - along with an artificial intelligence program that could run itself, and search the digits of pi.

In essence, my project is doomed because the universe beat me to it - but more significantly; pi has stored within it the potential to become self aware - we just need to know the offset.

What I'm saying is - if we had enough computing power, we could find an offset in pi that when executed; would run a program making pi self aware - a god if you will.

Before you argue with me, remember that this very post is also stored somewhere in pi - and it has existed since the dawn of time - so a little respect is due.

Hey, guys. I have never been here before, never really been a math person. Always got pretty good grades in science and math, but I am taking a test for college tomorrow and am doing some more studying.

Just need to brush up on some basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Don't think I need to know any calculus for this.

Have not done algebra since high school, graduated in 2009 when I was 17. I am 22 now.

1. If the average of three numbers is V. If one of the numbers is Z and another is Y, what is the remaining number?

A. ZY - V
B. Z/V - 3 - Y
C. Z/3 - V - Y
D. 3V- Z - Y
E. V- Z - Y

This is like a different language to me right now.

Will pi one day unlock the secrets of the world?

Whoa what the fuck? Was that some sort of time dilation? My brain sensed eternity. Oh and I must talk to the large hadron collider people. I have a concept of the elder scroll.

so on all of the algebra questions i see, its always x, y, a or b. why? I've never seen a w or a d or an h. what is this shit?

Math is a discovery due to the fact that we are the one's that give life to her by developing her rules and formulas, being this a discovery of the world itself

this has nothing to do with the pi vs tau debate, but just simply some pi videos for pi day that started an hour ago in sydney.. the rest of the world will have to wait several hours before pi day starts.

Biology has proven to us that the creation myths of old are ignorant and the prophets nothing more than mentally ill.

But the prophets of the new age are mathematicians. Math is everywhere, math is everything. There is too much order in the universe to be random. I predict within the century the new religion will be the teachings of Pythagoras, Euler, Poincare, Descartes, etc.

GOD is everything. GOD is math. GOD is in the integers.

What do you think?

Alright /sci/ i am 18, dont know algebra/geometry etc, i need someone to explain very basic algebra to me
the reason being is i was homeschooled throughout my highschool years and alot of things happened that made it hard to finish my math schoolwork (family deaths, parents divorced and i had to be a teacher to my little brother and sister while they were homeschooled because mom was going to college full time to pay the bills and what not.)
So please /sci/ educate me on the basics of algebra.
