I think you missed the point of the hard problem of consciousness. They will probably be able to tell you the neural activity sometime in the future, and they have made strides doing so today, but they can't explain the qualia, the sensation of salt. They are 2 different things.

Chemistry is made up garbage, there is no way we are made up of atoms. I am convinced that chemistry is just one of those brainwashing conspiracies to steal our souls and make us do what they want. Don't be sheep. Are we really supposed to believe that elements like hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon are formed from carbon dioxide and water, respectively? Why should we believe that these elements can only be made in a laboratory, while things like gold and silver can be found in nature? How can uranium be an element if it has no metaphysical properties? Without chemistry, there would be no big farm, no pedo-hormone therapy, no war on drugs, no chemical weapons, no cancerous substances. I don't understand why I am forced to do my homework every day by some brainwashed idiots.
