> Turing
Turing was a student of Alonzo church
Turing was stupid
Alonzo was genius
Antoher student of Alonzo was klenee
Klenee created the relational algebra
SQL is based on it and as long nobody finds a better algebra it will stay with us
Alonzo also mAde lambda calculus
Which is widely used and researched.

Alonzo church is better than Turing or any of his desciples

Fuck Turing he did more harm with his fucking machine than good. Dear good without him we would live in a world where there would not be stupid computer languages with shitty behavior

Can someone explain to me why >>9215985
is true? I don't get how we go from the first to the second (or from the second to the third and so on). I imagine the key behind the second step is the same one behind the remaining equalities.

Hey /sci/, rising undergrad freshman here. Planning on a physics/math double major, shouldn't be too hard considering the requirement overlap, so my most important first semester classes are Phys: Mech 'n' Spec and a combo Multivariable/Linear Algebra that claims to be "highly theoretical" and proof-based. I'm real excited, but I'd also like to really hit the ground running, so as someone going into those classes, what are some good textbooks/authors to study to start understanding higher concepts? Are there any I could understand at my level? I'd be willing to do some additional research to get through them.

>inb4 underage brainlet
I'm of age, fret not, and I'm learning as fast as I can.

Hello there /sci/ if you're smart as you say I have a math problem for you. Don't worry it'll be trivial for you if you're actually smart and no wannabe smart. So, here comes the problem:

Twenty random cards are placed in a row all face down. A turn consists of taking two adjacent cards where the left one is face up and the right one can be face up or face down and flipping them both. Show that this process must terminate. (with all the cards facing up).

And for you who will say it's my homework. No it isn't. So waiting for your answers. Good luck. Pic unrelated.

I was saying that it was ironic that the one concept your brain could handle was part of the one field you now have to leave.

In all seriousness why not see if you can take a semester off and recollect yourself...

Divergence of magnetic fields is 0. that of gravitaional fields is non-zero. Those are completely different things.
