In any case OP, as someone studying Aero. engineering and specializing in "aerospace sciences and technologies" (similar to material engineering yet more focused on metals and aerodynamic applications), be ready to disregard the responses of everyone but scientists and other technicians when you tell them what you do.

I'm still to find a person who has a coherent idea of what the fuck people studying science do.

Also, engineering is less specialized that it seems, what you do will depend much more on what company you work for that the difference between mechanical and industrial engineering careers.
