If this is anything to go by, it's up there. Science and Philosophy to hand in hand. Philosophy isn't just about the existence of God or the meaning of life, as it has Logic, Epistemology, Ethics, and Metaphysics. I like to think that Science likes to show us how things are, and Philosophy tries to explain how things could be. That doesn't mean that you need to study philosphy to understand metaphysics. If in your research you use hypothetical possibilities in a way that you later test, you are using metaphysics (or so it is claimed by Edward Zalta. Oh, and don't say that Philosophy is dead because *insert name here* has solved philosophy. If that were the case, then we would have definite answers to these questions, not just definite answers posited by the person in question. Question Everything
