No, this argument does not apply here because an Alcubierre Drive doesn't really move faster than light, it bends spaces so that we're covering more space at slower speeds. This allows us to travel distances in shorter times than it would take at light speed, but at actual speeds significantly slower than light. It's basically pseudo FTL without time dilation.

The only way we have of traveling faster than light speed is with a so called Warp Drive, known from Star Trek. The idea behind this propulsion system is that if you could somehow make the space-time bend up behind the ship, and down in front of the ship, the vessel would effectively be surfing at unimaginable speeds on top of a wave of space-time continuum.

Since the ship inside this bubble isn't moving, this system could theoretically achive unlimited speeds.
