Hey /sci/, so I have an upcoming project on alternative energy, so I choose nuclear power from Thorium, because I find it interesting. I'd really like to know how they work, but I can't find any simple step by step processes on how they generate power. Can someone help me out?

Why we don't research and build thorium fusion reactors? See documentary about it and it said almost nothing about why no one do this. I don't believe in conspiracy of oil producing companies or something like this. If it is profitable, it has been already done. Thanks why?

P.S Sorry for ba grammar. I will be very pleased if you correct me.

What is your opinion on Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors? Personally I think it is a nice idea, if it works which is possible. Makes a nice stopgap and/or supporter to other means of energy creation.

Is thorium really the answer?
Are all the claims true, or is it just snake oil?
I want to believe.
