I'm heading off to college very soon for engineering and want to finally pull the trigger on a good graphing calculator. I'm going to be studying in classes that utilize Calculus and Linear Algebra. So far the TI-89 Titanium seems like the best bet for me, what do other people recommend?

Does anyone know how to do Cholesky factorization or Eigendecomposition on the TI-89?

Is this a built-in application on Facebook?
What problems do you have with it?

What food does /sci/ eat that doesn't require preparation, fits in a backpack, and doesn't suck?

Electrical Engineering Major here. Taking summer courses.

Anyone have good recommendations for Engineering, Math, or other applications for the greatest 1990s calculator?

EE*Pro and Inverse Laplace Solver are the only two that I have at the moment.

What are /sci/s thoughts on the TI89 Titanium

I will be a freshman majoring in EE this fall and lost my TI84+ Silver Edition

Found out you can buy TI89 Titaniums for the same price (~$100) so I thought about that. What do you guys think

and inb4 underage, I'm actually 18

So I just found a ti-89 at a pawn shop, for 30 dollars. Is it worth learning over my ti-84? I honestly just bought it because I figured 30 dollars for a calculator would be pretty sick. I remember in earlier calc classes they were banned from using on tests

hey /sci/ i know this isn't a big thing on this board but this semester i'm gonna finish all the math classes at my university. next semester i'll be taking bullshit classes like "communication through math" just to satisfy my requirements to apply for the school of science.

anyway, i'm thinking about upgrading from my ti-84. would you recommend a ti-89 over a ti-92? the ti-92 just seems very confusing for what it is, but i've never really used either of them outside of shelf displays
