Okay, so say this is the preferred course of action, that we try and lure as much of the world's population into our human hives, where you sleep in a pod and own nothing but there are no rugrats running around because everyone got spayed. How do you organize who lives with who? We have the hard upper limit of 200 people per group, and a minimum of what, 5? 12? 30? Maybe organize meetings with other groups, competitive games, whatever you can think of. People are going to have to leave their pod cluster for different scenery, often, to avoid going crazy. Maybe a self contained city would be the best plan, duplicated as necessary for population density.

I'm trying to think of some dystopian scifi to compare to, what comes to mind is the indentured servants in Ready Player One that worked for IOI. I did just read that though, there are probably better examples.

So, what sort of peaceful devices are we going to get for our money? There's a big push for laser weaponry right now, to burn holes in drones and missiles, so they'll make faster missiles, which needs better tracking & aiming systems. Boom, now we can push lightsails better. Better control over microwave power beaming stations. Those stations would be hugely useful to a fighting team in enemy territory. How else are you going to charge your soldiers' exoskeletons? We're talking backpacks that unfold here, targeted by a constellation of satellites.

What else?
