I don't know why I keep doing this. I hate these fucking threads and I hate major politics. To some extent I'd like to believe it keeps the genuinely toxic faggots out of the rest of /sci/. It's hilarious how much attention such a minor problem like AGW is getting, it's even more hilarious how "the scientific community" (ie NOT a clearly defined community, but more like a bunch of retards such as physics profs who know jack shit about EnviroE and just want to feel politically active). Nowadays we can just pop up a nice cheap CO2 scrubber on our factory exhaust and suddenly the entire company is "green". The laws and regulators aren't focusing on "traditional" environmental engineering anymore.

Meanwhile the kind of shit we dump or do not recycle properly after consumption like inert polymers, neurotoxins etc. are far worse to the immediate ecosystem and pseudo equilibriums. No one in the general public really knows about the true amounts of waste generated by consumer products, and even worst most companies are dicks about factory waste that should be regulated, if there's a river nearby you can be assured that there's a shitton of illegal dumping.

CO2 emissions are the cleanest thing we dump into the environment (in fact we're supposed to burn the dangerous organics back down to CO2), and it's super easy to clean up with algea ponds or those cool new algal bioreactors if we ever need to (not profitable relative to petro, but when oil starts running out the technology is already there to do it cheaply, plus higher CO2 content in atmo means higher growth kinetics FOR FREE).


Don't mind us, we're just going to continue using all the FREE oxygen that you plebs aren't smart enough to utilize, thanks for funding our green research funding as well (yes, those end up in chemical petro companies), we'll be sure to profit off the patents once the oil dries up (and use the algae to make even more plastics and waste!)

Time would only return when a new universe begins. And a new universe is certain to begin because it has an infinity of "no time" in which to appear, meaning 100% likelihood of a new universe appearing.
