Cooperation between star systems is limited by the speed of light.

We're talking about cooperation up to the point of having the technology to reach space and strike with RKV's.

We had/have that technology or at least its beginnings and we have not in any real way "evolved" past our aggressive tendencies.

Sure, mankind has experienced selective events that favor greater cooperation within and between groups, but we still cooperate for less than altruistic reasons.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If I'm to upgrade/trade in my body for a new one there are some conditions:

>I want an immune system capable of reproducing in other organisms and attacking their bodies.
>I want spider silk or carbon nanotubes woven under my epidermis to prevent penetration/puncture damage
>I want more and denser skeletal muscle
>I want telomerase that works and won't give me cancer
>I want semi-conscious control over healing/repairs. I want to be able to alter the spectrum of my vision and the rod to cone ratio
>I want bones embedded in a carbon nanotube matrix that allows erythrocytes to pass through, but will make them nearly impossible to break/shatter
>I want cardiac muscle that can handle and direct the flow of blood under high gravity conditions, up to 10 g's without problems
>I want my epithelial cells to produce a chitin/melanin shell to minimize radiation exposure... semi-conscious control
>I want venom glands above my canines and conscious control of how my venom glands' genes are expressed (epigenetically) so I can produce a variety of toxins
>I want a nictitating membrane that can be consciously shaped/changed to correct for any number of environments (underwater, low pressure, high pressure, etc.)
>I want a full mammalian diving reflex.
>I want to have conscious control over the emission of pheromones and an olfactory system capable of detecting them at a conscious level

Yeah, that'll do. No furry whatnot, I like the general look/feel of my human body.
